Frequently asked

A few good questions

Why are no two pieces identical?

Each piece is woven by a single weaver on a single warp, and dyed in a small copper pot whose colour shifts with the season’s wool. Variation is not a defect — it is the proof of the hand.

Do you offer custom orders?

For pieces of ten or more, yes. See theBulk pagefor the full process. For a single bespoke piece, write to us; we accept two custom commissions a season.

Do you sell wholesale to shops?

A small handful of shops in five countries carry us, on consignment. We are not adding partners this year. Write tobulk@kalangan.inif you’d like to be on the 2027 list.

Can I visit the studio?

From April to October, yes — by appointment, two days a week. We host a half-day workshop on fine yarnsing once a month. Emailhello@kalangan.in.

Is there a gift wrap option?

Every piece comes muslin-wrapped, tied in twine, with the maker’s name card. For an additional cotton sleeve and a hand-written note, tick the gift option at checkout (free).
