Kalangan Home Textiles is a homegrown brand dedicated to reviving and celebrating handloom weaving in the Himalayas. We work closely with weaver communities in Uttarakhand, where weaving is not just a livelihood but a legacy passed down through generations.

Our products are crafted from 100% natural fibres, using age-old techniques that honor both tradition and sustainability. Each piece is unique, woven slowly and thoughtfully, carrying the warmth of human hands and the essence of the mountains.

How We Do It

• We partner with small groups of handloom weavers across Uttarakhand.

• Every product is woven on traditional wooden looms, without mass production or industrial processes.

• Women artisans, especially from Ukhimath and nearby villages, play a central role in our journey, empowered to create, sustain their families and keep the weaving heritage alive.

• We follow the philosophy of slow fashion: fewer, better and more meaningful products that last.

Our Founder’s Story

Kalangan Home Textiles was founded by Aayushi Gupta, a textile designer deeply connected to the handloom weavers’ community of Uttarakhand.

For over seven years, she has worked with artisans across India, bridging the gap between traditional craftspeople and modern markets. Her vision for Kalangan is simple yet powerful:
